Possible Funding
The capital grant represents further, significant investment in early years provision in your local authority. The grant has three principle aims:
To improve the quality of the learning environment in early years settings to support delivery of the EYFS, with a particular emphasis on improving play and physical activities; and ICT resources.
To ensure all children, including disabled children, are able to access provision.
To enable PVI providers to deliver the extension to the free offer for 3 and 4 year olds and to do so flexibly.
These grants can be accessed through the Early Education and Childcare Officer of your local LA. Contact them to discuss your options.
For other organisations who also are able to offer grants and funding opportunities for the provision of play equipment and buildings and are very much worth approaching.
Learning Through Landscapes undertakes research, develops programmes and provides training, resources and support to help schools and early years settings improve their grounds and use them to promote positive play, learning and personal development. www.ltl.org.uk
